Bosch 1-piece and 2-piece, left-hand and right-hand points

 

Determine whether your Bosch distributor has single-piece points, as early (pre-1968 or so) Bosch distributors typically have 2-piece points. If it has 2-piece points, a brass pivot pin will remain, standing up from the breaker plate, after you remove the points.

The 6-cylinder magnet sleeve fits Bosch distributor shaft cam lobes measuring about 16mm from edge-to-edge, not the larger 18.6mm cam lobes. A 16mm box-end wrench (ring spanner) should fit comfortably over the distributor shaft lobes.

12V negative ground only.
 

Coil Required:

Coil must have 1.5 Ohms or more internal primary resistance. HS17HEC high-energy coil recommended.
