The Hot-Spark
electronic ignition conversion kit replaces breaker points and condenser in the

Virtually all 4-cylinder, air-cooled VW distributors have right-hand points. Some BMW, Porsche and Mercedes distributors have left-hand points; some have right-hand points. Please compare the points in your Bosch distributor to the photo of points below:
Determine whether your Bosch distributor
has single-piece points, as early (pre-1968 or so) Bosch distributors typically
have 2-piece points. If it has 2-piece points, a brass pivot pin will
remain, standing up from the breaker plate, after you remove the points.
