    The Hot-Spark electronic ignition conversion kit replaces breaker points and condenser in the distributor to provide rock-solid reliability. With the Hot-Spark electronic ignition, dwell and timing are always spot-on accurate.

 

    No matter how strong your engine is, you won't get the most out of it without a good spark. The stock Volkswagen ignition system used technology that dates back almost a century - to the Kettering system, which was introduced in the 1910 Cadillac. Even though you can adjust breaker points for near-electronic ignition performance, they will burn and wear within a few thousand miles, long before the recommended replacement interval. With points, the timing will drift; power and fuel economy will suffer.

 

    The Hot-Spark electronic ignition conversion kit delivers a strong spark every time and is maintenance-free. You'll notice quicker starts, more top end power and a little gas mileage boost. It's as easy to install as points and condenser!

Lowers amperage to coil and ignition module, ensuring trouble-free operation. Prolongs coil life. Installed on engine firewall or on coil. Ideal for use with high-voltage charging systems and electronic ignition or points.

Application:

Recommended for use with air-cooled VW/Porsche and other high-voltage charging systems. Lowers current @ 4,000 RPM by about 0.5 amps.

Supplements original Bosch coil.

 

Also extends the life of points and coil when used with points-based ignition systems. Reduces   burning and pitting of points.

Limited Warranty

Hot-Spark Ignition Products warrants its electronic ignition conversion kits to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and if properly installed for a period of three years from date of purchase. If found to be defective as mentioned above, it will be replaced or repaired if returned prepaid along with proof of date of purchase. Warranty shall be null and void if it is determined that said electronic ignition conversion kit has been connected improperly, if it is used with an ignition coil which has insufficient resistance in its primary circuit, if the electronic ignition kit has been subjected to more than 4.0 amps of electrical current or if the polarity of the electrical wiring of the ignition kit has been reversed.

Hot-Spark Ignition Products warrants its ignition distributors to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and if properly installed for a period of ninety (90) days from date of purchase. If found to be defective as mentioned above, distributor will be replaced or repaired if returned prepaid along with proof of date of purchase.

This shall constitute the sole remedy of the purchaser and the sole liability of Hot-Spark Ignition Products. To the extent permitted by law, the foregoing is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties or representations whether expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness. In no event shall Hot-Spark Ignition Products be liable for special or consequential damages.
